Famously described as the “loveliest town in England”, Ludlow is one of the jewels of the Welsh Marches with over 500 listed buildings mainly Georgian or half-timbered.
Pye Powder is situated in one of the oldest buildings in the town which gives our shop its name in that one of the courts held in the room above in medieval times was the Court of Pye Powder – derived from Pied Poudre (meaning dusty feet) and was a court convened to sort out small differences.
Ludlow has much to offer and except for Tuesdays a market is held in the square on most days throughout the year.
